What is Fun Club?

The Fun Dog Club at Little Orchard Dog Training Academy is a 10 week course for adult handlers. The Fun Club offers tasters of many different training options:          

• Obedience involves learning footwork and teaching you requirements for a competition round at beginner level.
  
• Mini Agility involves introducing the dogs to the indoor mini equipment, piecing the equipment together and handling skills.
  
• Heelwork to Music involves learning new freestyle moves and heelwork to music sequences and adding in the music.
  
• Trick & Clicker Training involves teaching new fun tricks and asking the dog to think more for itself during free shaping and developing new behaviours.

Dogs that have worked towards Good Citizen's silver award are invited to join the fun club. The club is aimed at owners that want to take part in progressive training and have lots of fun and strengthen the bond and understanding between them and their dog.Fun Club can help you decide if you would like to  pick one of the elements to concentrate on and train further at our agility, heelwork to music (HTM) or obedience courses.

Each week we focus on a different element of training building up tasks and routines. There is no pressure on you or your dog as there is no exam at the end and so the course is about encouraging you to have lots of fun with your dog and find something that you both really enjoy doing whilst training.
