Little
Orchard Tutors
The tutor dogs are sociable, adult dogs that naturally
display useful communication skills or signalling. In
the groups they will often teach a shy puppy or control
a cheeky one! These dogs are essential to the running
of the groups and are a team to be proud of!

Charlie (May 2002) is a rescue Westie and has
worked through many of his issues gradually, he is still
not sure of new people, but unfortunately this is something
from his past that has stayed with him. Charlie loves
marching into the field standing as high as he can,
head up and tail raised. Charlie has really grown to
love his job and struts into the group to separate out
of control rough play which is the next stage for the
tutor dogs, Charlie is very serious about his job until
he rolls in the grass playing with the youngsters.

Pimms (May 2005) is a Jack Russell terrier,
she is bouncy and energetic. She lives with Charlie
and therefore has had a great teacher on social skills,
and is now learning to teach others at social groups.
Due to her size she uses her voice lots to try to separate
rough play, she also is often found darting around the
field keeping an overview on all that’s going on.

Bailey the black labrador (November 2005) is now tutoring in groups and building his social portfolio. He has natural ability and interest and is good with both bouncy dogs, and young puppies just learning about canine communication. He has lots of potential both tutoring and in obedience and its fun working with him and his owner Michelle and seeing him develop more and more.
